Serving God in the Ordinary

By September 22, 20152 Comments

influence-banner-2015In a few weeks I am leading a breakout workshop at the Dallas Seminary women’s leadership conference All About Influence. My topic is Serving God in the Ordinary.

As I consider what to say, I would love your input. What comes to mind when you think about serving God in the ordinary? What makes your service ordinary rather than extraordinary? How have you learned to serve God in such situations?

The more I mull over this topic, the more I believe we need to talk about it much more than we do. Because of that, I have created this as a topic for our blog and will regularly post about it.

If you have a story about serving God in the ordinary and would like to share it, just contact me via our contact button at the top of this page. Or if you are willing for me to share your story at the conference with the women who come to my breakout, attach and send it to me the same way.

I need to hear from you. No thoughts or comments are too ordinary!

I will be attending the Women of Influence conference. Could you tell me a little more about your workshop?

      Hi Sherry,
I am thrilled that you are attending the conference! It is always excellent.

My workshop is designed to help women who consider themselves and their lives merely ordinary (in comparison to women with large followings or big change-the-world type of ministries) to discover that God uses us in the ordinary. I hope those who attend will be more aware of God’s presence and purpose in the everyday. We will talk together about possibilities.
